一名妥瑞症患者發文說，希望大家更有同理心去看待每個人，「每次看到有人把我們症狀發作的樣子PO上來，都是一種傷害。」許多網友大喊加油，「你PO這篇很棒，謝謝你教育大家。」

原PO在「爆料公社」臉書社團表示，自己是高中生，「相信應該有些人有聽說過妥瑞症，可能你們在公車或是火車上，會看到有人發出怪聲、罵髒話、身體抽搐等等，如果有以上的症狀，可能就是妥瑞症。」

「你知道嗎？身為一個妥瑞症患者，每次看到有人把我們症狀發作的樣子PO上來，都是一種傷害」，原PO認為，其實在民眾要PO網前，可先上網查資料，為什麼這個人會有這樣的舉動和行為，而不是先PO上網，「而且每次看到有人回覆說：有病就該吃藥、為什麼要跑出來嚇人等等的話，心裡真的都很難過。」

原PO說，在這世界上缺乏許多同理心的人，「博客來網路書店 我覺得我很幸福，我的症狀算輕微，但你們知道，有許多症狀比我們更嚴重、更辛苦的孩子嗎？不只是妥瑞症，任何疾病，症狀我們都應該要包容，不是嗎？」

另一名妥瑞症的網友說，頸部肌肉會不自主一直收縮，「表面看起來就是我的頭會一直晃動，我同事常拿這件事取笑我，久了我也沒差了，反正這真的是一種病，就說我有病，他們就安靜了。」也有為人父母者說，「我兒子也有妥瑞症，會不自主的發出鵝鵝鵝的聲音，很怕別人會用異樣的眼光看他。」不少網友則推薦看真人真事改編的電影《叫我第一名》（Front of the Class），了解妥瑞症。

妥瑞氏症是法國妥瑞醫師（Gilles de la Tourette）發現並提出一種嚴重的抽動，包括運動抽動、聲音抽動以及綜合抽動，合併稱為「妥瑞症」。許多小朋友在幼年時出現眨眼睛、噘嘴巴、扮鬼臉、聳肩膀、搖頭晃腦等動作，或常不自覺發出清喉嚨、擤鼻子聲音，這些都有可能是妥瑞氏症的症狀。

藝人邵庭在2014年公開罹患妥瑞症，平時難以控制面部肌肉抽搐，但面對病情十分樂觀，也致力讓更多人了解這種症狀。
